A Girl Interrupted is a favorite movie of mine. Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder were both in it and were very convincing in their roles.

The movie was based on a true story about Susanna Kaysen’s, played by Winona, stay in a mental hospital. Parts were comical but parts were very scary. It showed how fragile our minds can be.

This movie was based on mental hospitals in the 60’s. This was the first movie I saw Angelina Jolie in, and I’ll watch anything she does because of it. A classmate borrowed it the other day and he was a bit skeptical thinking it was going to be a chic flick, but changed his tune and brought it back with praise.

Enormous. I love that word. You have to enunciate every syllable. E nor mous. Yep.

Did you hear where they unearthed a baby mammoth in Siberia? A reindeer herder found the frozen animal. I saw the picture of it on CNN online and it was amazing. I wonder if it is called a Wooley Mammoth.

Hey! I got a body board before mom and dad came and I’ve been having fun with it. I also got some new fins. They are shorter than the usual kind that scuba divers use. I used to say my tennis shoes made me go fast. Now my fins do!

I’m just a swimmin’…….

last weekend the beach was full of kelp, and I don’t like it. I feel like things from the deep are touching me and getting stuck between my toes, ewww. My friends had to drag me into the water this time, and the board and fins stayed in the car.

Another great day of school DONE. Today was a doozy. The guidelines are very rigid and we have to abide by them all in order to score well. It is very tiring. I have an average of 99.9% after 3 tests, hope to be at the top of the class til the end. Who ever has the highest score gets first pick when the list of our next billets comes. Where to go????

I had a weird experience yesterday. A friend and I went to eat at Ruby Tuesdays. I used to work at a Ruby Tuesdays so I know the menu by heart. They changed the menu! They didn’t even ask me for permission! No more onion straws or steak skewers? They have got to be kidding! I honestly don’t think I’ll be returning for a long while. On the other hand our server was very friendly and told us where we might be able to catch some waves at the outter banks.

It feels good to be needed! My dad lost something and called me to help him figure out where it could be. I told him where to look and it was there! I guess I am good for something! LOL
