Revenge Unexpected

One of my favorite places to catch up with friends is on My Space. Did you know that you can find out more about the new Johnny Depp movie when you visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace? Check it out!

Check out how Sweeney Todd Seeks revenge when he is unjustly put in prison. His wife and daughter suffer because of what happens to him. It is a harsh and horrible place that he is in when he vows to get revenge. His trade as a barber comes in handy when those who wronged him come in to get spruced up. Sweeney Todd has a way of making them disappear! Mu wah haha! You can watch the trailer when you visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site.

In Justin Timberlake’s video, What Goes Around Comes Around, Justin’s character gets revenge for a betrayal. The thing about the revenge is that it comes in a way that he does not expect. Revenge is like that. Even when you don’t seek revenge, you are able to still see it happen.

Justin’s girlfriend betrays him by seeing someone else. Justin catches them in a romantic encounter. A series of events lead to a car crash and revenge is his. What goes around comes around.

Mom’s afternoon off

So for mom’s afternoon off today we met with a friend and had some lunch at Red Lobsters!  I haven’t eaten there in so looooong.  It was scrumptious, I had a pasta with crab meat.  Then we went shopping, yes again.  I came home with a good haul, new sheets and some spiffy boots.  Also got Daddy a Christmas present which I need to wrap.  It feels like my vacation is so short, I think that’s because it gets dark at 5:30pm.  Then it’s time for dinner and a movie.  We went and watched Enchanted last night, it was a very cute feel good movie with Susan Sarandon as the evil step mother.  Mom and I enjoyed it but Dad said the best part was when the little chipmunk pooed a nut!!

Making Travel Plans

When I finally get settled in Florida, I am going to travel and see what the place has to offer. The tool I use to find the most interesting places is to check my e-newsletter from Trusted Tours and Travel. They don’t just talk about all the normal places we already know about. They find out new and fun things to do in places like San Diego, Savannah and Key West. This newsletter is my key to the most Trusted Tours and Attractions.

My friend just got her orders and will be stationed in Savannah. We plan to get together and find all the fun places that the historical city has to show us. Savannah was the first colonial and capital of the state of Georgia. Savannah’s downtown area is one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the United States! I can’t wait to check that out!

Ya’ll know of my love of books. Did you know that Savannah was the location for the movie from the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? The famous bird-girl statue that is pictured on the front of the book and is considered as a major factor in the success of the novel, is on display in Savannah. I am definitely going to see that.

You need to sign up for the e-newsletter and find the fun things about the places you have always wanted to visit. Right now, anyone who signs up for the Trusted Travel e-Newsletter is automatically entered to win 4 free tickets to tours in a city of their choice. You could win! You need to hurry because the offer ends Friday, December 14th, 2007.

Relaxing

After the excitement of Thanksgiving, I am glad to be settled in and watching tv shows on the Internet. I love that I can get online and get caught up on Grey’s Anatomy and Heroes.

I am not saying that Thanksgiving wasn’t a great time. It was fun to be with family. My cousin, his wife and baby came from Tennessee and surprised us. My brother and his fiance were here too. Mom’s attempt at catching the kitchen on fire was wild!

I put up our Christmas tree today. The hardest part was getting to it with all the stuff in the basement that was piled up in front of the tree. The second hardest was figuring out how to plug in the lights. It is a pre-lit tree and had plugs on every section of branches. I finally figured it out.

An interesting note:
Banks have been always providing financial solutions in the form of fast loan. There are different categories of loans for different people, like school loan for students. Now days banks are concentrating on secured loans in order to reduce the risk factors. People usually go for consolidated loan to minimize their financial problems and banks are also providing debt relief loans. Banks are spending a lot of money to get good mortgage leads.

Look At This, Dad

My dad is thrilled to have a place where he can work on keeping our family vehicles clean and run his business. He has worked at homes where the garage floors were stained with oil and nasty looking. He would not be able to stand that. He is picky about his floor. I guess that is because he is in the business of floors. He uses his garage floor to roll out the carpets he needs to cut and so they must be kept very clean. He has been looking for a way to keep the dust down on his floor. The guys are constantly sweeping the floor yet if you were to run your hand across the cement, your hand would come up with a fine white dust showing. www.carguys.com offers some great solutions for garage floors. I am going to get him in here to see if a coating they offer would suit him. He might need to email them and let them know of his particular situation. From what I read on their website, they are very customer service oriented. I think they would be interested in helping dad with his dust problem.

Ah, Turkey Day Ends

Woo hoo! The Colts won. Now we can go to bed. We are all trying to stay awake to watch the end of the game and pick up stuff that has been left laying around the house. The dogs have been snoozing already and I think they wish we would quit moving around so they can get into a deep sleep. They didn’t get their usual naps today. We had so many people in the house. They didn’t want to miss a chance at someone dropping a bit of turkey for them to lap up.

I am not sure if we are going shopping tomorrow. I would like to buy some new pants. It is going to be crazy at the mall.

Are you going shopping on Black Friday?

Artwalks in St. Augustine

gallery.gifI am excited to be moving to Florida. There are so many things to see and do in northern Florida. St. Augustine Artwalk is a fun way to enjoy art and music. St. Augustine is less than an hour from where I will be living!

On the first Friday of every month, the city of St. Augustine comes alive when they hold their Artwalk. Many of the art galleries of the city have come together to celebrate art. Music fills the street as locals and tourists attend the much loved First Friday Weekend Art Walk. The free Artwalks feature all types of beautiful art. I know I am going to love seeing the different types of mediums. One of my close friends graduated from art school and I learned all about art when we lived together while attending college. I appreciate art more after I saw all that went into how she used her talent to express her art.

I think the Artwalk will be a fun thing to do with the new friends I will be meeting. There is a Sightseeing Train and a Trolley that tours the different galleries. I am interested in photography and painting and can’t wait to see the talented artist’s work. Aside from the art, I think the event will be a fun way to see more of my new home. I am on the lookout for fun things to do and free parking offered at the Artwalk works well with my budget! I plan on seeing what Florida has to offer.

The Ham Was Great

I am a successful ham picker outer! I went to the grocery for mom and dad because they were working. They just got home from visiting me in North Carolina and then picked me up at the airport on Sunday. They have barely been home and started back to work on Monday. If your business is like theirs, you know how it is to come back to a load of mail and phone messages. The refrigerator was bare and the menu was not planned for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Mom and I sat down and picked some of our favorite casseroles and side dishes. I made a list and went to the grocery. It wasn’t hard to get what we needed but I was not comfortable picking out the ham. I picked a spiral honey baked ham and hoped it would be ok. It was terrific! Yay! I am a good ham picker outer.

deer.jpgDeer hunting season opened last weekend. I remember dad taking my brother and me to the processing center when he shot a deer. I think I was 12. Dad enjoyed this time of year when he hunted. Tragedy Avoided

I am thankful that mom and dad’s kitchen did not catch on fire today. Four or five of us were each cooking different dishes to add to the Thanksgiving dinner. I put  a foiled sheet of buttered rice krispies under the broiler. They needed to brown a little to make a crunchy topping for a vegetable casserole. The got a little too brown. My brother said that it looked like something was on fire. We rolled our eyes because we thought he was kidding. Then we remembered the rice krispies. When mom opened the oven door, 18 inch flames shot up and almost caught the cabinet doors on fire. I threw salt onto the flames and put the fire out.

We started over on the crunchy topping.
